The unique pre Columbian ruins of the Nuevo Casas Grandes city has attracted tourists from all over. The city has gone through remarkable developments in tourism, agriculture and commerce. Nuevo Casas Grandes History
Discovered in 1870 the city of Nuevo Casas Grandes earned fame from its neighboring town Casas Grandes. Due to the construction of a train station people started settling in the area. The settlers were mostly Native American tribal groups. The Mennonite and Mormon communities have settled peacefully in this area.
