The history of the Mexico City dates back to the 15th century. The once Tenochtitlan, Aztec capital, is today’s city of Mexico. The development of Mexico City owes much to Spanish invasion in the initial phase of 16th century. It was only after its independence, that the Mexico City started to flourish all areas of economic activities. Mexico City Earthquake in 1985 was the first major natural devastation faced by this ancient city. With its epicenter placed 50 kilometers away from the coastal Mexico, the earthquake of 1985 took toll of nearly 5,000 people.

Mexico City houses innumerable attractions to charm the visitors. Mexico City Zocalo is a fabulous cultural center of this vibrant city. The traditional events of Zocalo include Mexican dance, colorful procession, drum beating and many other rituals.

Zona Rosa is a colorful destination in the heart of the Mexico City. Paseo de la Reforma houses some of the architectural jewels of all time. The ancient cathedrals, museums and art galleries of Mexico City offer enough to charm the visitors.
