The United States (particularly, Arizona, California, Texas, and New Mexico), borders Mexico to the north, the Pacific Ocean edges the country to the south and west, the Gulf of Mexico bounds it to the east, and Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea border it to the southeast. The boundary with the United States extends for 1,952 miles.
Mexico is lying between latitudes 14° and 33° North and longitudes 86° and 119° West. It is situated in the southern region of North America.
Nearly the whole of the country is situated in the North American Plate, with minor segments of the Baja California peninsula on the Cocos and Pacific Plates.
